The run seemed very odd. As you can see, anyone who starts to run starts at a slow speed then to a high speed which then becomes constant (hope you get what I mean). The jump physics were really off, unless that guy was meant to fly like that. Plus, jump kicks go forward and not just suddenly stop in mid air. Other minor flaws, remove your stiffness, it seems rather odd. The hand switching when running, you get what I mean. No flow, make the stickman flow as we flow IRL. I recommend OblivionFall's tutorial(s) on YouTube, they'll be tons of help for you. I guess you're rusty....? I'm not sure, heh. I hope you become better, mate.

Good day. Smile

Thx for the cc. This animation is old, and yep, I am rusty.
I'll watch OblivionFall's tuts on YT. Thx for the advice.

IN YA FACE:
The run seems rather strange, but animating runs without moving the background(running from one side of the screen to another) is fucking hard imo, so I don't blame you for that. The big flaw that caught my eye was the kick. You changed the speed drastically from when he was running untill when he kicked. It looked like some force took control of him and pushed him towards his victim. And in the kick he went static for a few frames, where his arms were in an awkward pose. I know the arms can be a pain in the ass, though, because in a kick you don't always know what to do with the arms. Usually I'd just keep them guarding his face, or slightly lower.

Runnin' and jumpin':
The first thing that bugged me was the stickman. I'm sorry, but his back was way too big, compared to his legs and arms, which both looks weird, and it can't be easy animating with it. The run was quite slow, and I feel like there was no gravity on the planet he was running on. You're excused though, cuz the stickman looked pretty hard to animate with.

I think what you should do is to watch a lot of tutorials about basic movements such as running, walking, easing, and physics. I suggest darren's tutorial from DD. I recognize some of your flaws from when I was new to pivot. So don't worry, you'll improve.

I think you're around low-med beginner. I hope I haven't been too harsh. I know it can be very discouraging to see a long comment about all your flaws, but keep in mind that I think you have potential. I think you can go far if you keep on going. Pivot forums are very helpful if you wish to improve. Keep it up, man. Let me know if you have any questions. I'd be happy to help you(Even though I'm not necessarily that good myself, lol).

Towelie, thank you for the cc.

The IN YA FACE animation is new, when the Runnin' and jumpin' one
is old. I know my stick was way too weird :S
Thanks for the cc, you helped me alot. Smile

low beginner, you are animating your spacing quite badly, this causes shakiness, it's good that you're trying such ideas, but they are all really short and sort of hard to rank, your newest one was ok, but all it really is is someone standing up holding a knife, if you continue it I'll give you some more decent cc.

ok, sooo... your newest one is actually a bit better than your old ones. first thing you must do is slow down your fps. second thing, the hands shouldn't spread but get closer to the body, then he walks about two steps slowly, for now it's all too fast, see darren's tutorial here and see how to animate walking properly, than finish the animation properly.

The walk/run needs a lot of work. So before making a fight, you might want to practice the basics a bit more. The walk is uneased and stiff, and the footplacement is off. There is also a lot of shakyness in the animation. I know it's not a good thing to hear, but I think you want to try something simpler before making fights, because it's complicated. You need to know all the basics already. Work on walks, runs and some short combos, and you'll improve by time.

Did'nt really look like there was smoothing, It was kinda shaky also.

I would say read or watch some more easing tutorials.

That run loop seems very coppy and stiff and there was not much flow in it. I can see you eased but the easing was very little.

Not to do: |--|-----|

Should do: |-|--|---|

Also make sure to move your back. The key element to not making an animtion stiff is to add as much joint movement as possible.
